Our Story

Hi, I’m Lily.

LKD (Lily Kao Design) started as a side project shortly after I graduated from university, while I was figuring out my next steps as a graphic designer. What began as painting a bird alphabet chart has turned into something much bigger than I expected.

Since then, I’ve been building my alphabet chart collection around different themes, from favourite foods and animals to everyday interests. Each one is a playful way to celebrate the things people are a little obsessed with.

From my small home studio in Scarborough, I now create greeting cards, stickers, puzzles, and handcrafted wooden ornaments inspired by the things people love most – designed to bring a little more colour, personality, and joy into everyday life.
